CASHIERS -- The 2018 Heritage Apple Day event is set for 11 a.m.-1 p.m. Saturday, March 10 at the Cashiers Community Center off Frank Allen Road near the Cashiers-Glenville Volunteer Fire Department. The free event offers information on your forefathers’ apples, grafting them, apple treats, live music and children’s activities.
“We will have live music from Kim Smith, a free-standing photo booth and apple products for sale by The Copper Pot and Wooden Spoon,” said Ansley Pridgen, executive director of the Cashiers Historical Society, which is sponsoring the event. “We will also have a raffle featuring three different items -- a Copper Pot and Wooden Spoon prize basket, a CHS goodie basket and a piece of my artwork.”
For information, call Pridgen at 828-743-7710 or visit her website at cashiershistoricalsociety.org.
