CASHIERS-GLENVILLE -- Blue Ridge School and Early College announced Monday its 2019 homecoming schedule.

Blue Ridge’s homecoming is set for Friday, Jan. 25, but it is preceded by various homecoming-related Spirit Week activities.

To celebrate Spirit Week, students are encouraged to wear special theme outfits to school.

Themes include:

• Tuesday, Jan. 22 -- Sports team apparel.

• Wednesday, Jan. 23 -- Wacky clothes.

• Thursday, Jan. 24 -- Favorite decade clothes.

A school-wide homecoming pep rally, featuring games and skits, is set for 2 p.m. Friday, Jan. 25 in the school’s gymnasium.

Students are voting for the homecoming queen and king, who are expected to be revealed and crowned during halftime of the Friday, Jan. 25 varsity boys basketball game vs. Nantahala. Tip-off is set for 6 p.m. in the school’s gym. There will also be a homecoming dance after the basketball game for ninth-12th grade students. The dance will be in the cafeteria.

In case of inclement weather, homecoming will be celebrated Feb. 15.
