>> WINTER WEATHER ALERT: "Heavy snow accumulation" predicted to hit Cashiers Saturday

Our friends at Willy Weather are calling for a “heavy accumulation” of snow in Cashiers Saturday. It apparently will come following a period of freezing rain. Weather.com reports today there will be one to three inches during the daytime in Cashiers Saturday, with up to a foot falling over Saturday night, with additional snow Sunday. The snow and wintry mix is expected to linger over the plateau, keeping the potential for icy roads through Tuesday morning.
