Hal Arthur Phillips
Hal Arthur Phillips, 79, of Glenville passed away Thursday, July 5, 2018.
Born in Wichita, Kansas, he was the son of the late Harold A. Phillips and Pearl E. Bradstreet Phillips.
Hal Arthur Phillips was a U.S. Army veteran, a member of the VFW Post 10685, Glenville; and a graduate of Western Michigan University and Erskine Theological Seminary.
He taught music, was a classical piano player and played at High Hampton for eight years, Skyline Lodge for 10 years and all along the coast of Florida.
More recently he played the piano at Holy Family Lutheran Church in Highlands.
He is survived by his wife, Brenda Higdon Phillips; three children, Steven Phillips of Michigan, Amy Rauser of Michigan, Joanna Zehnder of Pennsylvania; step children, Dwayne Lovelace of Lincolnton, and Tina Piephoff of Davidson; seven granddaughters; and three step granddaughters.
A memorial service will be conducted at a later date.
