James Merrill Jennings
James Merrill Jennings, 75, of Glenville went home to be with the Lord on Sunday, Sept. 9, 2018.
He was the husband of Brenda Wiseman Jennings and the son of the late Glenn and Mary Alice Jennings.
He was a member of Hamburg Baptist Church of Glenville.
He was the retired owner of Poor Boy Trucking and Tire Sales.
He dearly loved all his family and never met a stranger.
In addition to his parents, he was also preceded in death by two sisters-in-law, Ada Mae Taylor and Ann Jennings.
He is survived by his wife of 50 years; Brenda Jennings; and two daughters, Mary (Bill) Lanning and Martha Jennings. He is also survived by three brothers, Melvin (Louise) Jennings, Marvin (Kaye) Jennings and Hayse Jennings. Many nieces and nephews, along with great-nieces and nephews and great-great-nieces and nephews, also survive.
Services are planned for 1 p.m. Friday, Sept. 14 at Hamburg Baptist Church with the Rev. Greg Hamman and the Rev. Johnny Norris officiating. Burial will follow in the Hamburg Cemetery. The family will receive friends 6-8 p.m. Thursday, Sept. 13 at the church.
