Linda Smoak Myers
Linda Smoak Myers, age 76, of Highlands, passed away Tuesday, July 19.
She was born in Miami Springs, Florida, the daughter of the late Pearl Lott and Lila Dice Lott. She was a homemaker and a very loving wife, mother, grandmother, great-grandmother and sister.
She was a very active member of Cashiers Baptist Church, including the Van Ministry, the choir and mission trips to Pennsylvania. She was preceded in death by her first husband, Kenneth Smoak, five brothers and two sisters.
She is survived by her second husband, Rodney Myers of Highlands; two daughters, Suzanne Smoak Roweton (Kenneth) of Highlands and Danielle Rice (Brad) of Cashiers; a son, Thomas Kelly Smoak (Mary) of Honduras; grandchildren, Andrew Kenneth Everson, Kenneth Christian Smoak, Kenneth Edward Roweton Jr., Christina Roweton Mohammed, Karleigh Christian Smoak, Easton Rice, Brooke Rice and Sarah Durning; great-grandchildren, McKenzie Claire Everson, Lila Kay Everson, Domonic Mohammed, Julian Mohammed and Olivia Mohammed; two sisters, Annabelle Markilin and Pat Anthony, both of Ocala, Florida.
A funeral service was held at 11 a.m. Saturday, July 23 at Cashiers Baptist Church, with Rev. Scotty Patrick officiating. The family received friends prior to the service at the church. Burial was private.
