Mary Hopkins Young Berry, aged 90, recently of Atlanta, died peacefully in Florence, S.C., on Sept. 9, 2021.

Betty Zane Henry Hunter Butts

Betty Zane Henry Hunter Butts went home to be with Jesus on Saturday, Sept. 4, 2021.

Candyce “Candy” Field passed away peacefully at home in Highlands, on May 23, 2021, after a four and a half year struggle with cancer. She was 74. 

A memorial service, for Hillrie M. Quin, will be held at 2 p.m. on Sunday, June 13, 2021.  The service will be held at the First Presbyterian Church of Highlands.

Willa Mae Baumgarner Stewart, 90 of Cullowhee passed away Tuesday, June 1, 2021. She was born April 27, 1931 in Jackson County, to the late Claude Baumgarner and Arizona McCall Baumgarner.

Charles Samuel Cabe, 73 of Franklin, passed away Wednesday, May 26, 2021. Sam was born in Jackson County, on Sept. 17, 1947 to the late Homer and Thelma Cabe.

Mrs. Edna Phillips Bryson, 94, passed away Thursday, May 20, 2021. She was born October 12, 1926 in Macon County to the late James Roy Phillips and Octia Henry Phillips. 

Emily Graves Edwards, 81, passed away peacefully on Wednesday, May 12, 2021 with her family by her side. 

A memorial service for Edmund “Ed” Whitby, who passed away on April 5, 2020, will be held at 1 p.m., Wednesday, May 26, at the Episcopal Church of the Incarnation, in Highlands.
