Don't miss Saturday's Cashiers Christmas Parade

Letter to the Editor

The 43rd annual Cashiers Area Christmas Parade is set for noon Saturday, Dec. 9. The parade lineup starts at 11 a.m. at the south end of Cashiers School Road by Cashiers United Methodist Church.

Parade route: Cashiers School Road near Cornucopia Restaurant, then north on N.C. Highway 107 to the crossroads where parade emcees will announce participants via amplification system. The parade then turns left and continues West on U.S. Highway 64 ending at the intersection of Frank Allen Road.

The parade’s theme is “Silver and Gold Bells, It’s Christmas Time in the Village.”

In celebration of the Village Green’s 25th anniversary and the Cashiers-Glenville Volunteer Fire Department’s 50th anniversary, we encourage you to feature “Silver and Gold, Mountain Village Christmas Ideals” on your entry this year. Creative Volunteers are available to brainstorm ideas for your entry -- just let us know how we can help.

Theme or holiday adornment is required for all entries.

You can share streaming broadcast information with family and friends unable to attend by going online to Live.HighSouthAdventures.com.
