Both Blue Ridge girls and boys basketball teams win homecoming matchups

CASHIERS -- Both the Blue Ridge Early College girls and boys basketball teams won homecoming matchups vs. Tamassee-Salem Jan. 26. The Bobcat girls defeated the Eagle girls 65-26 and the Bobcat boys defeated the Eagle boys 64-22.

The Blue Ridge teams both also played rival Highlands Tuesday, but results were unavailable by the Chronicle’s press time.

Both teams travel to Hiwassee Dam in Murphy this Thursday, Feb. 1 to take on the Eagles. The girls tip-off is set for 6:30 p.m. and the boys tip-off is set for 8 p.m.
